1. General Provisions & Identity

These Terms and Conditions apply to all products and services offered by Fikster (represented by Jan Fransen), hereafter referred to as "we" or "us."

By placing an order on our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

2. Custom Orders & Personalization

  • Accuracy: Our nightlights are custom-made based on the names or text you provide. You are responsible for the correct spelling of any custom names. We cannot offer refunds or replacements for errors in text provided by the customer.

  • Production Time: Because each item is custom 3D printed, our standard production lead time is up to 1 week (7 days) before shipping. This is an estimate and may be longer during peak holiday seasons.

3. Product Characteristics (3D Printing)

  • 3D Printed Nature: Our products are manufactured using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology. Unlike mass-produced injection-molded plastic, 3D printed items have unique characteristics including:

    • Visible layer lines.

    • Minor surface "artifacts" (small bumps, zits, or seams).

    • Slight variations in color or texture.

  • Not Defects: These characteristics are a natural part of the 3D printing process and are not considered manufacturing defects for the purpose of returns or warranties.

  • Material (PLA): Our products are printed in PLA (Polylactic Acid). PLA is heat-sensitive and may warp or deform if exposed to temperatures above 50-60°C. Keep your nightlight away from direct sunlight, heaters, or hot cars.

4. Electrical Safety & Power Supply

  • No Adapter Included: The nightlight is supplied with a USB cable but does not include a wall power adapter.

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s sole responsibility to provide a CE-certified 5V USB adapter.

  • Safety Warning: Using uncertified, damaged, or incorrect voltage adapters (e.g., non-standard "fast chargers") may damage the electronics or pose a fire risk. Fikster is not liable for damages caused by the use of non-compliant third-party power sources.

5. Usage & Safety Warnings

  • Not a Toy: Our nightlights are decorative interior items. They are not toys and are not intended for play.

  • Age Restriction: Keep out of reach of children under 3 years old. The product contains small parts and electronic components that may pose a choking or safety hazard if dismantled.

  • Fragility: 3D printed structures are composed of layers. If the product is dropped or falls on a hard surface, it may crack, break, or delaminate. We are not responsible for damage caused by accidental drops or mishandling.

  • Indoor Use Only: Use only in dry, indoor environments.

6. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

  • Personalized Goods Exception: According to EU Consumer Law (Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal (14-day return period) does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.

  • Policy: Because our nightlights are custom-named, all sales are final. Returns are only accepted if the product is technically defective (e.g., the electronics fail) upon arrival. In case of damage during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and product.

7. Sustainability & End-of-Life

  • Modular Reuse: Our lights are designed to be modular. When you no longer wish to use the item as a light, the top figure is designed to function as a money box/piggy bank.

  • Recycling (Belgium): Our products are printed in PLA, a bio-plastic. In Belgium, PLA does NOT belong in the PMD bag or GFT (organic waste) as it requires industrial composting.

  • Disposal: If you need to dispose of the item, it should be placed in the "Restafval" (General Waste) bag. In Belgium, this waste is processed to recover energy. The electronic base (if broken) should be disposed of separately at a Recupel point or your local "containerpark" (recycling center) under small electronic waste.

8. Limitation of Liability

Fikster is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of our products. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the product in question.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, Belgium.
