1. General Provisions & Identity

These terms and conditions apply to all products and services offered by Fikster (represented by Jan Fransen), hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us".

By placing an order on our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

2. Custom Orders & Personalization

  • Accuracy: Our night lights are made to order based on the names or text you provide. You are responsible for the correct spelling of personalized names. We cannot offer refunds or replacements for errors in the text provided by the customer.

  • Production time: Since each item is uniquely 3D printed, our standard production time is up to 1 week (7 days) before shipping. This is an estimate and may take longer during busy holiday periods.

3. Product Features (3D Printing)

  • Nature of 3D printing: Our products are manufactured using FDM technology (Fused Deposition Modeling). Unlike mass-produced injection-molded plastic, 3D-printed items have unique characteristics, including:

    • Visible print lines (layers).

    • Small surface artifacts (small bumps, dots, or seams).

    • Slight variations in color or texture.

  • No Defects: These characteristics are a natural part of the 3D printing process and are not considered manufacturing defects for returns or warranty claims.

  • Material (PLA): Our products are printed in PLA (Polylactic Acid). PLA is heat-sensitive and can deform when exposed to temperatures above 50-60°C. Keep your night light away from direct sunlight, heating appliances, or hot cars.

4. Electrical Safety & Power Supply

  • No Adapter Included: The night light comes with a USB cable, but without a USB wall adapter (plug).

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the customer to provide a CE-certified 5V USB adapter..

  • Safety Warning: Using non-certified, damaged, or incorrectly voltage adapters (e.g., non-standard "fast chargers") may damage the electronics or pose a fire hazard. Fikster is not liable for damage caused by the use of non-compliant third-party power sources.

5. Use & Safety Warnings

  • Not a Toy: Our night lights are decorative interior items. They are not toys and are not intended for play.

  • Age restriction: Keep out of reach of children under 3 years old. The product contains small parts and electronic components that may pose choking hazards or other risks if disassembled.

  • Fragility: 3D-printed structures are made up of layers. If the product falls or lands on a hard surface, it may crack, break, or delaminate (split apart the layers). We are not responsible for damage caused by falling or improper use.

  • Indoor Use Only: Use only in dry indoor environments.

6. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

  • Exception for Personalized Goods: According to European consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal (the 14-day cooling-off period) does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or that are clearly personalized.

  • Policy: Because our night lights are personalized with a name, all sales are final. Returns are only accepted if the product is technically defective upon arrival (e.g., if the electronics do not work). In case of damage during transport, you must contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and the product.

7. Sustainability & End of Life

  • Modular Reuse: Our lamps are modularly designed. When you no longer want to use the item as a lamp, the top figure is designed to function as a piggy bank.

  • Recycling (Belgium): Our products are printed in PLA, a bioplastic. In Belgium, PLA DOES NOT belong in the PMD bag or with the organic waste, as it requires industrial composting.

  • Waste processing: If you want to dispose of the product, it belongs with the residual waste. In Belgium, this waste is processed for energy recovery. The electronic base (if defective) must be returned separately to a Recupel point or your local container park for small electronic waste.

8. Limitation of Liability

Fikster is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of our products. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the respective product.

9. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. All disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, Belgium.
